Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to our Float Pool at Varied Locations in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a PRN, Varied Shifts opportunity.
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease . Experience with geriatric and cardiac patients preferred.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities:
- Performing high-quality diagnostic procedures
- Knowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials
- Protecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure
- Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.
Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years Experience working in a hospital setting Required
- 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
- 1-2 years Radioactive Material Experience Required
Education & Credential Requirements:
- Vocational School
- Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT)-NMTCB Required Or
- Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist –ARRT Required Or
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
