East West Rail is a nationally significant railway project which aims to deliver much-needed transport connections for the vibrant communities between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge. Together these communities contribute around £111 billion to the national economy each year.
EWR is one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, and is being championed by the Government as a key driver to economic growth leading to a potential £78 Billion boost to the UK economy: supporting new towns, housing, and regeneration.
To help deliver that vision, we're looking for an Application Developer to join our growing Data Centre of Excellence (DCoE) team.
Role Summary:
Working closely with our Lead Power Platform Developer, you'll design, develop and support business-critical applications using the latest Microsoft technologies, helping colleagues across EWR work smarter, faster and more effectively.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a developer who's passionate about building modern Microsoft solutions and wants to play a key role in one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure programmes.
What you'll bring
- Designing and developing applications using Power Platform, Dataverse, SharePoint, Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
- Building Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, integrations and APIs.
- Creating bespoke solutions using technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Working directly with stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver practical digital solutions.
- Supporting data integration, automation and analytics initiatives.
- Driving best practice across security, governance, DevOps and application lifecycle management.
- Providing support and continuous improvement for existing applications across the business.
What you'll bring
You'll bring experience in:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- SharePoint Online development, including SPFx web parts
- Azure services and cloud-based application development
- APIs, integrations and automation across Microsoft technologies
- Github, Azure DevOps and modern development practices
- Translating business requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
