Common Energy is seeking enthusiastic, outgoing individuals to join our Community Outreach & Event Enrollment Team in Illinois during the peak enrollment season.
The Opportunity
As a Community Outreach & Enrollment Representative , you will educate individuals and families about the Illinois Shines Program and help eligible households complete their enrollment.
You will engage directly with people, answer questions about Illinois Shines, explain how the program can help reduce their electricity costs, and assist interested individuals through the enrollment process.
This is a highly interactive, community-facing position. We are looking for people who genuinely enjoy meeting and talking with others and who are comfortable approaching people, starting conversations, and encouraging eligible households to take advantage of a program that can save them money.
Training, enrollment equipment, and all necessary marketing materials will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Represent Common Energy at off-site community enrollment events by engaging customers face-to-face in high-traffic public environments to facilitate enrollments and provide exceptional customer service.
- Conduct presentations to educate eligible households about the potential savings available through Illinois Shines. Answering questions and overcoming objections.
- Assist participants in completing the enrollment process using Common Energy's enrollment platform.
- Travel to assigned offsite enrollment events.
- Set up and maintain Common Energy's outreach table and marketing materials.
- Build relationships with visitors, community partners, vendors, and event participants.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly goals.
Requirements
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and comfortable talking to people you have never met.
- You MUST have transportation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage comfortably with diverse members of the public.
- Must be reliable, punctual, professional and enthusiastic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and remain professional under pressure.
- Comfortable using a tablet, laptop, or other electronic enrollment equipment.
