Child Welfare Specialist I/II/III- Pathways To Launch

Child Welfare Specialist:

- Level I   H23A - $37,280.75 + Full State Employee Benefits (https://oklahoma.gov/omes/omes-careers/benefits.html)
- Level II  H23B - $40,077.79 + Full State Employee Benefits (https://oklahoma.gov/omes/omes-careers/benefits.html)
- Level III H23C - $43,968.62 + Full State Employee Benefits (https://oklahoma.gov/omes/omes-careers/benefits.html)

Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%.

On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.

Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications

Child Welfare Specialist, Level I

- Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university.
- OR  3 years of experience related to child welfare work.
- OR  a combination of education and experience.

Child Welfare Specialist, Level II

- A bachelor's degree (in any field) to qualify;
- OR One year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

Child Welfare Specialist, Level III

- A Master's degree;
- OR a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist;
- OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

Job Responsibilities

-  Manages caseload of young adults ages 18-21 participating in the Pathways to Launch extended foster care program within OK Successful Adulthood (OKSA).    
- Assists young adults in developing, implementing and updating a transition plan; Provides regular reports to an administrative review team on the progress of the transition plan.  
- Assists young adults in skill development, obtaining resources, and securing safe and stable housing.  
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with community resources, which includes making referrals and follow-up to ensure the initiated services and supports are appropriate to meet the needs of the young adults. 
- Flexible schedule to be available for crisis management if necessary. Hours may vary and may include some evenings and weekends.  
- Position includes travel and client transportation.

Preference may be given to applicants with experience with transition-age Foster Care Youth
