About this role

The Social Strategist is a creative, data-driven social media expert with copywriting abilities to lead our client’s social presence across key platforms. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on content creation, crafting compelling copy, shaping campaign concepts, and optimizing performance to grow brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute multi-platform social media strategies aligned with brand goals and marketing campaigns.

- Conduct audience, competitor, and trend research to inform content direction.

- Create and manage content calendars, ensuring a cohesive narrative across channels.

- Collaborate with client leads and internal design, animation, and PM teams to support initiatives.

- Write high-impact social copy tailored to each platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).

- Conceptualize original content ideas, campaigns, and storytelling angles.

- Ensure all copy reflects brand voice, messaging guidelines, and user intent.

- Partner with designers and animators to bring visuals to life (e.g., simple graphics, reels concepts, captions).
- Present social strategies, campaign recommendations, and performance insights to clients and stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.

- Identify emerging trends, cultural moments, and engagement opportunities.

- Track performance metrics in Hootsuite and generate regular reports.

- Analyze insights to refine content strategy, improve engagement, and inform future campaigns.

- Conduct A/B tests on copy, hooks, CTAs, and posting times.

Requirements

- B2B experience required.

- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing.

- Strong writing and storytelling skills with a portfolio of social content or campaign copy.

- Experience presenting social media strategies and performance results to clients and executive stakeholders.

- Proficiency with major social platforms, publishing tools, and analytics dashboards.

- Strong understanding of social media KPIs, attribution, and reporting methodologies.

- Experience working with social listening and monitoring tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Meltwater, Talkwalker).

- Understanding of SEO principles, creator trends, and social media best practices.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

- Ability to travel to Stamford, CT office 1 day per week.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
