Automotive Service Technician | Hyundai Experience Preferred | Strong Earning Potential

Liberty Hyundai in Mahwah, New Jersey is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service department.

We are looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in their work, wants steady hours, and is ready to build a long term career with a dealership that values quality, productivity, and its employees.

Hyundai experience is preferred but not required. Technicians from all automotive brands are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair customer vehicles accurately and efficiently
Perform maintenance, warranty, engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical repairs
Complete multi point inspections and identify necessary repairs
Use diagnostic equipment and factory resources to properly identify vehicle concerns
Communicate findings clearly with the service advisor and management team
Complete repair orders with accurate documentation
Perform quality inspections before returning vehicles to customers
Maintain an organized and professional work area
Follow dealership and manufacturer repair procedures
Meet productivity, efficiency, and quality standards
Participate in required training and certification programs

Qualifications

Previous automotive technician experience
Hyundai, Kia, or dealership experience is a plus
State inspection and ASE certifications are a plus
Strong diagnostic and electrical skills are preferred
Ability to properly use diagnostic equipment and repair information
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
Must provide or have access to the tools required for the position
Dependable, productive, and committed to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
