Delivery Driver (CDL Required)

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused CDL Class A or Class B Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely and efficiently deliver commercial tires, wheels, and other products to customers.

This is a home-daily position with routes assigned based on the weekly schedule established by management.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive company vehicles, including tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, to complete scheduled deliveries.

- Safely deliver commercial tires, wheels, and other products to customers.

- Follow assigned daily routes and delivery schedules.

- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, safely, and on time.

- Assist with loading and unloading products from company vehicles.

- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and mechanically sound.

- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle and equipment.

- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and applicable driving laws.

- Maintain accurate ELD records, including hours of service, rest periods, mileage, fuel, tolls, repairs, and other required expenses.

- Review ELD records regularly and report any errors or discrepancies to the Branch Manager for correction.

- Immediately communicate traffic violations, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, delivery delays, or other issues to management and customers as appropriate.

- Review orders before and after delivery to verify quantities, changes, and accuracy.

- Maintain a clean and safe driving record.

- Demonstrate excellent driving ability in both manual and automatic vehicles.

- Perform daily vehicle performance checks and ensure required preventive maintenance (PM) procedures are followed.

- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold high standards of customer service.

- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

- Be willing to assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as business needs arise.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required.

- Valid driver's license.

- Minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience within the last 3 years preferred/required.

- High school diploma or GED.

- Clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

- Must successfully pass a DOT physical and drug test.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds .

- Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage delivery documentation.

- Ability to safely operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
