## Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $28.87 - $40.87 per hour Compensation is flexible based on experience, qualifications, licensure, and technical expertise. Candidates with advanced credentials such as a PE license may be considered for higher compensation levels.

## What You'll Accomplish
Develop mechanical and MEP designs for HVAC, plumbing, controls, and hydronic systems Produce complete, biddable construction document packages Create and revise 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit Perform design calculations and system selections under engineering oversight Support code compliance reviews and integrate applicable building code requirements Coordinate with engineers, project managers, designers, and other disciplines Assist with specification writing and project documentation Manage multiple priorities and project deadlines effectively Participate in project meetings, design coordination, and client-focused discussions Support innovation initiatives, including new design technologies and automation tools
## What We're Looking For
We're seeking a motivated Mechanical Designer who combines strong technical design capabilities with excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate can work independently, contribute to project teams, and take ownership of design deliverables while maintaining high quality standards.
## Required Qualifications
5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering design 5+ years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design, controls, and hydronics Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit/Revit MEP Ability to create both 2D and 3D mechanical drawings Experience developing complete construction document packages Knowledge of MEP design and building systems Understanding of commonly used building codes and code compliance requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Experience supporting commercial, educational, municipal, healthcare, or higher education projects
## Preferred Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering degree EIT certification, PE license, or progress toward professional licensure LEED AP or other sustainability-related certifications Experience with Bluebeam Experience with Dynamo and Revit automation tools Experience with educational, healthcare, municipal, commercial, and complex mechanical system projects Specification writing experience Project coordination or project management exposure Experience with AI-driven design tools and workflows
## Travel Requirements
Occasional site visits, project meetings, and collaboration activities as required by project needs
## Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.87 - $40.87/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
