- Assesses health status of   i nd i v i duals, fam i l i es, and commun i t i es; develops plans and   i mplements   appropr i ate nurs i ng   i ntervent i ons.

- Evaluates and   determ i nes   health resources necessary to meet   i nd i v i dual,   fam i ly   and commun i ty   health needs.

- Del i vers profess i onal nurs i ng care   i n an ass i gned un i t, cl i n i c, home, or other sett i ng.

- Educates   i nd i v i duals, fam i l i es, commun i t i es, and members of the health care team about the   pr i nc i ples of d i sease prevent i on and health promot i on.

- Prov i des superv i s i on to other profess i onal or paraprofess i onal personnel; collaborates w i th other   profess i onals   i n the management of health care.

- Delegates tasks as may safely be performed by others, cons i stent w i th educat i onal   preparat i on   and that do not confl i ct w i th the prov i s i ons of the Oklahoma Nurs i ng Pract i ce Act.

- Assures qual i ty health care through use of var i ous measures such as record rev i ew, peer rev i ew,   d i rect observat i on, and assessment of   i nd i v i dual, fam i ly, and commun i ty for the des i red outcome.

- Performs spec i al i zed nurs i ng funct i ons as educat i onally prepared.

Spec i al Requ i rements :
