This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work.
Bas i c Purpose

Typ i cal Funct i ons
- Uses i nterv i ew techn i ques and assessment i nstruments to determ i ne the offender’s secur i ty r i sks and programmat i c needs; prepares case h i story reports and recommends program ass i gnments.
- Rev i ews work and conduct records of all ass i gned offenders to determ i ne progress or necess i ty of chang i ng ass i gnments or secur i ty class i f i cat i on; serves as a member of the class i f i cat i on un i t for an ass i gned caseload.
- Adv i ses offenders on personal problems, employment resources, vocat i onal sk i lls, educat i onal and tra i n i ng needs, fam i ly problems and i nst i tut i onal adjustment.
- Del i vers programs to offenders wh i ch are des i gned to ass i st i n a successful re-entry i nto the commun i ty follow i ng release from i ncarcerat i on.
- Ass i sts w i th, or prepares reports such as parole summar i es or court ordered presentence i nvest i gat i ons.
- Rece i ves and takes necessary act i on on i ncom i ng and outgo i ng ma i l to or from ass i gned offenders.
- Develops, mon i tors, and amends offender trans i t i on plans i n l i ne w i th re-entry programs and serv i ces.
- Establ i shes collaborat i ve network w i th relevant partners to prov i de support, pre and post release serv i ces for offenders wh i ch i nvolve fam i ly members and commun i ty resources and soc i al serv i ce agenc i es.

Educat i on and E x per i ence requ i rements at th i s level cons i st of a bachelor's degree from an accred i ted college or un i vers i ty; or an equ i valent comb i nat i on of educat i on and e x per i ence, subst i tut i ng one year of e x per i ence i n a correct i onal fac i l i ty i n a pos i t i on wh i ch requ i res d i rect contact w i th i nmates for each th i rty semester hours of the requ i red educat i on.
Level I I :
Educat i on and E x per i ence requ i rements at th i s level cons i st of a bachelor’s degree and two years of correct i onal records management or soc i al casework wh i ch i nvolved the class i f i cat i on and ass i gnment, f i eld superv i s i on, apprehens i on or i nvest i gat i on of offenders, or as a ch i ef of secur i ty i n a commun i ty correct i ons center, or i n a profess i onal adm i n i strat i ve pos i t i on w i th respons i b i l i t i es for ma i nta i n i ng i nmate records, establ i sh i ng procedures or serv i ng as an ass i stant to a warden. Subst i tut i on of a master’s degree for one year only of the requ i red spec i al i zed e x per i ence; or an equ i valent comb i nat i on of
