Job Description

Performs various shipping duties accurately and efficiently to help meet and   exceed on - time shipping, shipping   accuracy   and shipping efficiency goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Pack s   a wide range of products using proper shipping materials and techniques to ensure all items are protected   during shipping   for both domestic and international shipments

- Identifies   orders that require priority shipping and   utilizes   most appropriate   cost effective   methods (NDA, Ground, FTL,   etc )

- Assists   with picking orders, stacking product on pallets, wrapping pallets, applying shipping labels, loading trucks, kitting,   and   pick zone replenishment process.

- Communicates with other departments   regarding   challenges affecting the shipping department , priority shipments,   or shipped products

- Processes orders accurately and   in a timely manner   using shipping software, genera ting   required documentation for   the selected shipping method.

- Follows forklift and powered pallet jack safety procedures including but not limited to   pre trip , proper charging,   operating , and warehouse barricading.

- Puts and picks pallets from warehouse racking using forklift

- Partner   with   l ogistics   and other departments   on   carrier changes , late   pick ups ,   and   troubleshooting   problems

- Assist   other departments with one time shipping needs   including ensuring   proper documentation   is completed   including any hazmat declarations

- Assist   with truck unloading and storing parts in   appropriate locations

- Monitor and document shipping errors

- Create and send   Daily Shipping Summary Report

- Follows all company protocols, attendance policies, HR   requirements   and safety procedures

- Maintains a safe, clean working environment.

- Sends advanced shipping notice to customers who require them, providing necessary information on the pending shipment using EDI,   spreadsheets   or e-mail.

- Schedules pickups when necessary, including full truck and LTL pickups providing all necessary shipping documentation, communicating delivery details to the customer when   required   and logging relevant information

- Documents current processes   and   suggest s   process improvements

- Maintain and update data and records in   shipping software , coordinating with other teams when necessary

- Invoices orders producing all necessary packing slips, shipping labels, package identification labels, and documentation as required by customer, order type, and shipping method.

- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor

Skills & Knowledge

- High School Diploma or GED Required

- Basic c omputer skills   – experience with   AS400, Excel, Word, Outlook, Share P oint , UPS   Worldship   desired

- Communication skills – ability to communicate and work well with others

- Accuracy-minded   and   detail-oriented

- Must be able to prioritize workload ,   work under pressure , and   meet deadlines

- Must be able to   operate   a forklift   safely indoors   and   outdoors

- Previous   s hipping experience   desired

Physical Requirements

This job requires you to   lift up   to 40   lbs , bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, reach overhead, perform strong pinch and grip, push-pull up to 100   lbs , and stand/walk up to 10 hours per day .

Work Environment

A large percentage   of work time is spent in a production warehouse where temperatures range from warm to   cool   and noise level can be moderate to high.

Work Schedule

The   Battle Ground, WA location   shipping department   operates   on a 4/10 work schedule Monday – Thursday, with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays or weekends as needed.

The pay range for this position in Washington State is $21.01 to $25.71. Individual pay within those ranges is determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Base Pay Range:
$21.01 - $25.71
