Position Summary

The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment while supporting warehouse and manufacturing operations through picking, packing, repackaging, unloading, and inventory-related activities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product accuracy, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Complete assigned picking, packing, repackaging, and unloading tasks.
- Operate stand-up forklift and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and order fulfillment accuracy.
- Follow all company safety, security, and quality policies.
- Utilize basic math skills and weight scales to complete job functions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrate a cooperative and professional attitude with coworkers and management.
- Adhere to production schedules and work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

- Minimum of 3 to 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Previous forklift operation experience required.
- Licensed or certified Lift Truck Operator required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to accurately add and multiply numbers.
- Ability to read and understand written English instructions.
- Ability to work from pick lists, work orders, and operating instructions.
- Ability to maintain productivity standards, including picking up to 200 line items.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent repetitive motion throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds independently.
- Team lifting required for items exceeding 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Ability to continuously move products of varying weights throughout the workday.

Internal Candidate Requirements

Internal applicants must meet the following qualifications:

- No active Final Written Warnings.
- No more than six (6) attendance points.
- Meet efficiency and quality performance standards for the previous three months.
- Minimum of six (6) months in current position.
