Job Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Coating department
1st Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify presence of all associates on the line; adjust for absences
- Ensure associates work in a safe manner; report unsafe acts to supervisor
- Ensure cleanliness of coating line is maintained
- Verify schedule according to product and coating type (list received from Planning dept.)
- Ensure turf is produced at a first quality standard
- Ensure coating line is running at specification speed
- Operate perforator as required
- Contact maintenance for machine problems or breakdowns
- Ensure autonomous maintenance is completed as specified
- Ensure startup and shutdown checklists are completed as needed
- Ensure inventory of consumables are maintained ; report low levels to supervisor
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to provide instruction a nd direction to employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to solve practical problems in situations with low supervision
- Ability to read and understand documents such as SOPs and Safety Data Sheets
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees & supervisor
- Basic computer skills including e-mail, internet use, and spreadsheets
