Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently processing and applying customer payments. You will handle cash receipts, research unapplied or misapplied payments, and reconcile customer accounts. This role also involves assisting with invoice inquiries, maintaining accounts receivable records, following up on discrepancies, and occasionally supporting collections or aging reviews.
Responsibilities
- Process and apply customer payments.
- Post cash receipts accurately.
- Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with invoice questions and inquiries.
- Maintain detailed accounts receivable records.
- Follow up on accounts receivable discrepancies.
- Support collections or aging review processes as needed.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in accounts receivable processes.
- Strong reconciliation skills.
- Experience in invoicing and data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Skilled in invoice processing and collections credit.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or invoicing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment
The position requires working onsite five days a week, adhering to a business casual dress code. The typical work hours are from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility around these hours.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $26.44/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
