What You'll Do
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in developing safe, compliant, and efficient structural solutions for nuclear facilities. Responsibilities include:
- Perform structural analyses including:
- Static analyses
- Seismic response spectrum analyses
- Structural dynamics evaluations
- Design and analyze:
- Equipment supports
- Pipe supports
- Structural steel frames
- Foundations and reinforced concrete structures
- Conduct piping and pipe support analyses in accordance with ASME Section III and B31.1 requirements.
- Design lifting devices, rigging systems, crane supports, and other structures used for construction and maintenance activities.
- Apply AISC, ACI, ASCE, and nuclear industry codes and standards.
- Perform component stress analyses using software such as GTSTRUDL and/or ANSYS.
- Evaluate existing structures and develop retrofit solutions for plant modifications and code updates.
- Assess engineering impacts associated with plant changes and modifications.
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, design reports, and construction documents.
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and provide technical leadership on structural matters.
- Support project planning through technical estimates, schedules, and execution strategies.
- Communicate engineering recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and engineering excellence.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited U.S. institution.
- 4–10 years of structural engineering experience supporting:
- Nuclear power facilities, OR
- Highly regulated industrial environments
- Strong experience designing and analyzing steel and/or reinforced concrete structures.
- Experience performing structural and seismic analyses for complex structures.
- Knowledge of:
- AISC Steel Design Code
- ACI Concrete Design Code
- ASCE standards
- Experience with piping and pipe support analysis under ASME Section III and/or B31.1.
- Ability to prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting nuclear plant modification projects.
- Proficiency with GTSTRUDL, ANSYS, and/or similar structural analysis tools.
- MathCAD experience.
- Experience evaluating existing structures and developing retrofit solutions.
- Previous work supporting major utilities, EPC firms, or nuclear operators.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $68.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
