Job Description
Summary:
The Operator at Cognex Corporation is responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of manufacturing equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality products according to specifications and schedules.
Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to assembly machines, and packaging lines.
* Perform receiving for the incoming shipment, put away and picking.
* Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
* Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to produce components and assemblies.
* Conduct in-process quality checks and document results, identifying and reporting any deviations or defects.
* Load and unload materials and finished products, ensuring proper material handling and inventory management.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and 5S principles.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Qualifications:
* 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment preferred.
* Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in simple English.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Basic computer literacy.
