Senior Officer

Execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of API plant mechanical equipment.
Handle maintenance of reactors, agitators, centrifuges, dryers, filters, pumps, compressors, vacuum systems, gearboxes, heat exchangers and other process equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and minimize equipment downtime.
Carry out inspection, servicing, alignment and overhauling of pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves and rotating equipment.
Monitor equipment health through vibration, temperature, lubrication and other condition-monitoring techniques.
Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities according to approved schedules and SOPs.
Coordinate with Production and other Engineering departments for maintenance activities and equipment shutdowns.
Supervise technicians and contract manpower during maintenance and project activities.
Ensure proper use of spares, tools and maintenance consumables.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, checklists, logbooks and work orders.
Support CAPA, deviation, breakdown investigation and root-cause analysis (RCA) activities.
Participate in installation, commissioning and qualification of new mechanical equipment.
Support preparation and revision of SOPs, preventive-maintenance procedures and equipment-related documents.
Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, SOPs and safety requirements.
Follow permit-to-work procedures, LOTO and other safety practices during maintenance.
Coordinate with external vendors/contractors for equipment servicing and specialized maintenance.
Monitor critical equipment and identify opportunities for reliability improvement and cost reduction.

Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
Relevant experience in API / pharmaceutical / chemical manufacturing preferred.
Experience
3–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an API manufacturing plant.
