About this role

Accountabilities

- Perform primary source verification of clinician licenses, certifications, and other required professional credentials.

- Monitor credential status to ensure licenses and certifications remain current, active, and compliant with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.

- Maintain accurate credentialing records, supporting documentation, and verification information within enterprise systems.

- Research, investigate, and help resolve licensure discrepancies, expired credentials, and other compliance-related issues.

- Support internal and external audits by collecting, validating, organizing, and providing required credentialing documentation.

- Generate credentialing reports, track status and deadlines, identify potential compliance risks, and escalate issues when appropriate.

- Respond to questions from clinicians, leaders, and business partners regarding licensing, credentialing, and regulatory requirements.

- Manage multiple credentialing activities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and following established processes.

- Contribute to process-improvement initiatives designed to increase credentialing efficiency, data quality, and compliance outcomes.

- Collaborate with the Credentialing Manager and relevant stakeholders to support consistent and effective credentialing operations.

Requirements

- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience in healthcare administration, credentialing, compliance, or a related field.

- Experience in healthcare credentialing, professional licensure monitoring, regulatory compliance, or audit support is preferred.

- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements is advantageous.

- Experience working with large datasets, reporting tools, credentialing platforms, or enterprise business systems is preferred.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business applications.

- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, particularly when handling sensitive compliance documentation.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond clearly and professionally to clinicians, leaders, and business partners.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize workloads effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research discrepancies and determine appropriate next steps.

- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

- Sound judgment and discretion when working with confidential professional and healthcare-related information.

- Comfort adapting to changing business needs and contributing to continuous process improvement.

- Hourly compensation structure; posted full-time-equivalent annual pay range of $48,900–$66,200 , with actual compensation varying based on location, skills, experience, education, and certifications.
