Description
Our client is seeking a Site Designer (Civil Engineer) to support the planning, design, and development of land development projects. This individual will collaborate with engineering teams to provide innovative and sustainable site design solutions, including grading, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, roadway design, permitting, and construction administration. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and a strong understanding of land development principles and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop site layout, grading, and roadway designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Design stormwater management systems, drainage infrastructure, and erosion & sediment control measures.
Prepare utility layouts and profiles for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems.
Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, engineering calculations, and technical reports.
Research and interpret zoning ordinances, SALDO requirements, floodplain regulations, and stormwater management standards.
Prepare permitting packages for local, state, and federal agencies, including NPDES, Chapter 105, sewage planning, and utility permits.
Provide construction administration support through shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, site observations, and contractor coordination.
Prepare as-built plans and project closeout documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, municipalities, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
0-5 years of experience in land development, site design, or civil engineering.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Understanding of stormwater management, grading, drainage, and utility design.
Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
Ability to interpret municipal ordinances and permitting requirements.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Hydraflow, Hydrographs, Storm Sewers, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or similar engineering software.
Knowledge of NPDES permitting, erosion & sediment control, and Pennsylvania land development regulations.
Exposure to construction administration, field inspections, and construction observation services.

The ideal candidate is an early-career Civil Engineer or Site Designer with experience in land development projects who can contribute to site planning, utility design, stormwater management, permitting, and construction support efforts. Candidates from civil consulting, municipal engineering, environmental engineering, or land development backgrounds are highly transferable to this role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
