Purpose: The BIM Specialist is responsible for changing and creating project drawings.
Essential Duties include the following:
- Complies with all company safety policies
- Works with existing Architect drawings and makes necessary revisions for projects
- Creates new drawing designs from concept
- Works with Project Manager on site visits; measures building layouts
- Works with engineering team to assist in design/build
- Understands and performs 3-D coordination via Revit and Navisworks
- Provides and creates detailed shop drawings for installation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Drafting or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Competence in Microsoft office products, AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks
- Strong organizational, file and data management skills
- Good communication skills, including verbal and written
Physical Requirements:
- Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
- Able to get to customer job sites
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
Work Environment: Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation.
