Store Associate - BAS

Bingham Ag Services is currently seeking a Store Associate . This position is responsible for engaging with customers, accurately recording all sales, and maintaining a well-organized store.

The Store Associate will primarily be focused on:

Customer Service

- Greet customers, take their orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations as needed.

- Provide friendly customer service to all customers while accurately and efficiently getting them checked out at the register.

Food Preparation

- Ensuring that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are being followed is crucial.

- Follow all proper hygiene practices such as wearing gloves, washing hands regularly, and ensuring cleanliness is maintained for all food preparation.

- Verify that the food products being prepared and served meet quality standards. This involves ensuring that all ingredients being used remain fresh, checking expiration dates, and discarding any expired or spoiled items.

- Maintain and confirm that all food items have the correct labeling and pricing before being displayed.

- Monitor and maintain appropriate food temperatures, properly rotate perishable items, and ensure that all food items are being restocked as needed.

Process Knowledge and Adaptability

- Accurately fill out logs for any product or item that is expired, damaged, or discarded to ensure inventory counts are kept up to date.

- All food items are expected to be labeled and priced correctly to ensure that each item is sold at their corresponding price.

- Everyone is responsible for all duties pertaining to the Deli so, it is expected that you assist coworkers and work together to ensure all daily duties are completed.

- Be prepared to handle unexpected situations such as handling difficult interactions with challenging customers, addressing inventory discrepancies, and customer complaints.

- Provide problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate for the Store Associate will have the following:

- Strong verbal communication skills.

- Able to learn company systems and processes.

- Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.

- Able to effectively multitask.

- Strong customer service focus.

- High integrity and ethics and trustworthy in cash management.

- Basic math skills for accurately delivering change to customers, and inventory counts.

- In some locations that sell alcohol, you must be at least 21 years old.
