Job Title: Billing Coordinator (Entry-Level)
Location: Coppell, Texas | Onsite, Full-Time
Pay Range: $20 – $24 per hour based on experience, Temp-to-Permanent
Position Summary
We are seeking an Entry-Level Billing Coordinator who is early in their career and eager to learn and grow within the Finance Department. No prior billing experience is required training will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone beginning their professional career who enjoys working with numbers, data, and details. The position reports directly to the Treasury Manager and is designed to develop into a Billing Specialist role as the employee gains experience and demonstrates proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Learn company billing processes, systems, and procedures
Review and reconcile employee expense reports and travel expenses
Assist with preparing and submitting customer invoices
Perform accurate data entry and review billing data for discrepancies
Review contracts and supporting documentation to understand billing requirements
Create and maintain billing reports using Microsoft Excel
Assist with customer billing portals, Accounts Receivable, and expense report processing
Maintain accurate and organized billing records
Work with multiple projects that may have different billing structures and requirements
Communicate with Finance, Operations, and Project teams to resolve billing questions
Perform other billing, finance, and administrative tasks as assigned.
Employees may be assigned additional duties, responsibilities, projects, work locations, or tasks based on operational and business needs.
Qualifications
What Were Looking For
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers and data. They should be eager to learn, ask questions, take initiative, and adapt quickly when moving between different projects and billing methods.
Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Ability to learn new software and processes quickly
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Positive attitude and willingness to accept coaching and feedback
Able to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening (required as a condition of employment).
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
Pay: $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience
Growth Opportunity
This is a developmental position focused on potential, aptitude, and willingness to learn rather than extensive experience. The right candidate will receive hands-on training in invoicing, contracts, billing systems, data analysis, Accounts Receivable, T&E processing, Excel, Access, and basic SQL concepts.
Employees who successfully complete training and consistently demonstrate accuracy, productivity, and proficiency will have the opportunity to advance into a Billing Specialist position with increased responsibilities and continued career growth.
Advancement will likely include promotion from temp contractor to permanent employee with benefits and other perks.
