Job Title: Project Manager Job Description The Project Manager supports project teams with the planning and execution of conveyor and material handling system projects across high‑impact markets such as airports, parcel, postal, food and beverage, and warehousing and distribution. This role focuses on full‑service mechanical and electrical solutions, including design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, maintenance, decommissioning, and system modernization, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations. Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of conveyor and material handling system projects from concept through commissioning.
- Perform detailed take‑offs by reviewing drawings and prints to determine required materials, components, and quantities needed to build the system.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, field supervision, vendors, and management to coordinate project activities and resolve issues.
- Assist sr project managers and actively develop project management and technical skill sets through on‑the‑job training.
- Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure work progresses according to plan.
- Track multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously, maintaining clear documentation and status updates.
- Use Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, to manage project data, reports, and communications.
- Support construction project management activities related to conveyor and material handling systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide project execution and field activities.
- Contribute to problem solving and decision‑making efforts to address project challenges and maintain progress.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates, clarify requirements, and address concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and system modernization initiatives to enhance project outcomes.
- Help ensure that projects meet performance, quality, and safety expectations while supporting long‑term customer relationships.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, project engineering, or project coordination, ideally within construction or material handling environments.
- Experience with conveyor systems or material handling system projects.
- Experience with project engineering, project coordination, assistant project management, or construction project management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, field supervision, vendors, and management.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both internally and externally.
- Ability to track and manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem‑solving capabilities and sound organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
