General Contractor & Counter Sales Account Rep Needed for a Wholesale Lighting Supply Warehouse in Princeton, NJ or Clinton, NJ

Are you a hands-on construction professional who enjoys working with people as much as projects, but wants a steady income? Do you have experience in general contracting, construction materials, electrical products, or customer service in wholesale sales? If so, we want to talk to you!

We are a fast-paced, growing wholesale lighting and electrical supply warehouse seeking a Counter & General Contractor Sales Account Executive to support contractors, electricians, builders, and retail customers with their lighting and electrical product needs.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your construction knowledge with customer-facing sales expertise in a team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do
Assist walk-in customers, contractors, electricians, and builders with product selection and purchasing.
Provide knowledgeable recommendations for commercial, industrial, and residential lighting solutions.
Interpret construction plans, specifications, and customer requirements.
Generate estimates, quotes, and sales orders accurately.
Coordinate product availability, deliveries, and special-order items.
Build strong relationships with contractors and repeat customers.
Troubleshoot product questions and identify alternative solutions when needed.
Maintain showroom and counter displays to showcase current lighting products.
Support warehouse operations including inventory management and product organization.
Collaborate with outside sales and purchasing teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Experience as a General Contractor, Construction Professional, Electrician, Electrical Apprentice, Building Materials Sales Representative, or similar role.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Basic computer proficiency with order entry and inventory systems.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of lighting, electrical, construction, or building materials products.
Experience with estimating, blueprint reading, or project coordination.
Wholesale distribution or contractor sales experience.
Familiarity with inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
