Mission Critical Quality Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mission Critical Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for large-scale, technically complex mission critical construction projects, with a strong focus on data centers.

This role will manage quality processes from preconstruction through project completion, working closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams. The Quality Manager will establish project quality standards, identify potential issues early, and ensure construction is completed in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead quality assurance and quality control efforts on mission critical construction projects.
- Develop and implement project-specific quality plans during preconstruction and construction.
- Establish quality requirements early and incorporate them into project planning, procurement, and execution.
- Work closely with project management and field leadership to maintain quality standards throughout construction.
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, reviews, and meetings.
- Track quality metrics, deficiencies, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions.
- Investigate significant quality issues and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure work meets project specifications and quality requirements.
- Monitor critical construction activities and identify potential quality issues before they impact schedule, cost, or project performance.
- Review testing, inspection, documentation, and closeout requirements.
- Provide quality training and guidance to project teams and field personnel.
- Analyze quality trends and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
- Maintain consistent quality standards across complex, multi-phase mission critical projects.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project team.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7–9 years of experience in construction quality assurance, quality control, project management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of management or leadership experience.
- Experience with mission critical construction, data centers, advanced technology, industrial, or other technically complex projects strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction quality control, inspections, testing, project specifications, and documentation.
- Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, project management teams, and field operations.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Certifications

- ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification required.
- HCAI/OSHPD “A” license preferred.
