Sunstates Security is hiring an experienced Full-Time Site Supervisor at a client site in Newark, NJ . T his position offers a pay rate of $23/hr, paid weekly.

Security Supervisors are responsible for the daily functioning of a contract site including operations, customer service, personnel management, security & safety in accordance with Sunstates objectives.

Job Requirements

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor with a background in trucking, transportation, warehouse, or logistics security operations. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing security personnel, managing truck gate operations, maintaining site security, and ensuring uninterrupted coverage at a busy logistics facility. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and logistics experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise, train, and support Security Officers.
- Ensure all posts remain staffed and operational.
- Manage truck gate access, driver verification, and documentation review.
- Monitor trailer/container movements and yard activities.
- Conduct inspections, patrols, and security checks.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Review reports and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, management, drivers, and security staff.
- Maintain compliance with SOPs, safety requirements, and client policies.

Qualifications

- Previous security experience in a trucking, logistics, warehouse, transportation, or distribution environment.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of truck gate operations, bills of lading (BOLs), trailer/container verification, and logistics documentation.
- Strong computer, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and varying shifts.

A Site Supervisor may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Site Supervisor must read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
