Yard Laborer

Elko Sanitation , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Yard Laborer/Container Repair to join the team in Elko, NV !

Starting Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour DOE

.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00am-3:00pm (Flexible) with occasional overtime

.

Driver’s License preferred, but not required.

.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manual labor including paper picking, keeping yard clean and presentable.
- Washing, repairing, and assembling trash bins and containers
- Traffic management.
- Perform yard work including cutting weeds.
- Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
- Working outside in all weather conditions.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Operates recycling baler.
- Operates skid steer and forklift.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

- Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment   5-Pannel Drug Screen & Background Check .   (Required)
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.
- Ability to safely operate a power washer and other hand tools as required.
- Ability to adhere to work schedule communicated and agreed upon.
- Driver’s License preferred, but not required.
