The CNC Operator is responsible for conducting effective and efficient manufactured parts. The CNC Operator sets up and operates CNC machine while producing quality and meeting required production needs.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Overtime and Saturday work may be required due to business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Fabrication and assembly of composite and metal parts (sub-assemblies)
Interface with the production team and manufacturing engineers to improve manufacturability, safety, cost, delivery, quality, and lead time
Make recommendations for product and tooling changes to support volume production
Wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot equipment
Ability to setup and operate CNC mills and lathes
Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, to produce parts
Use measuring and inspecting tools as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires lifting (up to 50lbs unassisted) walking and standing for long periods of time.
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hand and arm length, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Full hand dexterity
Must be able to stand for long periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a warehouse/production environment; load machine noised from production machinery, and possible exposure to hot/cold temperatures depending on season.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Be able to pass basic assessment
1-2 years of previous manufacturing experience
Experience operating production machinery (CNC experience a plus)
Computer Software:
Knowledge of Drill, JOB, and CamPlus, preferred
