About the Opportunity
- Aston Carter is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to hire a Customer Logistics Coordinator . This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal operations teams, ensuring accurate order processing, shipment coordination, and customer communication. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has strong organizational skills, and can effectively manage customer requirements while supporting production and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer EDI releases and monitor order accuracy within SAP.
- Enter and manage manual customer orders received via hard copy, email, or fax.
- Respond to customer shipment inquiries and communicate customer requirements throughout the organization.
- Proactively notify customers of production or shipment delays and coordinate solutions.
- Create and distribute Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASNs) through EDI systems and customer portals.
- Maintain key logistics and performance reports, including: ASN Summary Reports
- Flash Projection Reports
- Firm Order Flash Reports
- On-Time Delivery Performance Reports
- Excess Freight Reports
- Review daily trend and shipment data to ensure reporting accuracy and alignment with delivery metrics.
- Track and document excess outbound freight costs associated with customer shipments.
- Participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities as assigned.
- Collaborate with production, materials, quality, and customer service teams to support successful program launches.
- Participate in production meetings and communicate changes that may impact shipping schedules or customer deliveries.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to logistics and customer service processes.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, customer service, or order management environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Preferred
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with EDI systems and ASN processing.
- Knowledge of APQP processes and customer release management.

Work Environment
- Combination of office and manufacturing plant environments.
- Regular interaction with production teams and warehouse/logistics personnel.
- Exposure to manufacturing operations, including moderate to loud noise levels in production areas.
- Occasional movement throughout the facility to support operational needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly move throughout a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to perform duties requiring standing, walking, and occasional bending, stooping, or kneeling.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
