Senior Accountant - Fuel Inventory Support
Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support fuel inventory accounting and reconciliation activities across a large distribution network. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory movements, performing reconciliations, researching discrepancies, and partnering with operations and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate has experience in inventory, cost, manufacturing, or operations accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily fuel inventory reconciliations across multiple locations and systems.
- Monitor inventory movements and ensure data accuracy.
- Research and resolve inventory, volume, and transactional discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory activity and identify issues requiring follow-up.
- Support transportation cost tracking and reconciliation efforts.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and accounting teams.
- Assist with reporting, financial analysis, and process improvements.
- Support month-end close and inventory-related accounting activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation and reporting related to inventory movements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- SAP or ERP system experience preferred.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
