Role Overview
As an Eye Care Assistant, you¿ll perform essential administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of licensed ophthalmologists. Your role is vital in supporting physicians, ensuring smooth patient examinations, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality eye care. You¿ll assist in patient education, prepare patients for examinations, and help during procedures, making a direct impact on patient outcomes.

What You Will Do
- Take patient medical histories and record vital signs.
- Measure visual acuity and intraocular pressure.
- Prepare patients for physician examinations and assist during procedures.
- Support patient education and compliance with treatment plans.
- Operate specialized equipment and perform tests under supervision.
- Manage patient information with attention to detail and accuracy.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of initiative.
- Visual, hearing, and verbal abilities to communicate effectively and perform detailed tasks.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and handle small objects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with ophthalmic procedures and equipment.
