WAF – Crookston is looking for a Foundry Maintenance Technician who knows their way around industrial equipment, enjoys troubleshooting, and isnt afraid to get their hands dirty.

πŸ”₯ WHAT YOULL DO

As a Foundry Maintenance Technician, youll be one of the key players keeping our foundry operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Your day may include:

- πŸ”§ Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

- ⚑ Diagnosing electrical issues, including motors, controls, sensors, switches, and wiring

- πŸ› οΈ Performing preventive and predictive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly

- πŸ”₯ Working around foundry equipment where things get hot β€” literally

- 🧰 Repairing and maintaining production machinery, conveyors, pumps, furnaces, molding equipment, and other foundry equipment

- πŸ”© Welding, fabrication, machining, and general maintenance as needed

- πŸ•΅οΈ Finding the root cause of equipment problems rather than simply putting a Band-Aid on them

- πŸ“‹ Completing maintenance documentation and keeping records up to date

- 🚨 Responding quickly and safely to equipment breakdowns

- 🦺 Following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and other applicable maintenance practices

- 🀝 Working closely with Production and other Maintenance team members to minimize downtime

- πŸ’‘ Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency

🧠 YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...

βœ” Have industrial maintenance experience β€” especially in a manufacturing or foundry environment
βœ” Have electrical troubleshooting skills
βœ” Understand mechanical systems and industrial equipment
βœ” Can read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
βœ” Have experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
βœ” Can troubleshoot problems logically and methodically
βœ” Are comfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment
βœ” Can weld and fabricate or are willing to learn
βœ” Take safety seriously
βœ” Can work independently but also know how to be part of a team
βœ” Like figuring out Why did THAT happen? and then making sure it doesn't happen again

- PLCs and industrial controls

- Variable frequency drives (VFDs)

- Motor controls

- Electrical troubleshooting

- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

- Automated manufacturing equipment

- Experience in an aluminum foundry or similar heavy manufacturing environment

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Desired Education and Experience: Technical certification or an associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
