About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support procurement and purchasing activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules. The ideal candidate has experience working within ERP systems, thrives in a high-volume environment, and enjoys collaborating with both vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, process, and manage purchase orders within ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, or similar).
- Track orders and monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time material availability.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, shipment updates, and delivery issues.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support production and material requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and update order information within ERP systems.
- Resolve supplier discrepancies, shortages, and delivery concerns.
- Utilize Excel to track purchasing activity and generate reports.
- Support vendor relationships through effective communication and follow-up.

Required Qualifications

- 1+ year of procurement, purchasing, buying, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience creating and managing purchase orders.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards (JDE), Oracle, or similar.
- Experience working with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Strong communication skills with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in manufacturing or production-driven environments.
- SAP and/or JD Edwards (JDE) experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Inventory, materials planning, or supply chain experience.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wylie, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
