As a Vocational Counselor, you’ll connect talent with opportunity while making a meaningful impact in the King George community.
What You’ll Do
- Help individuals identify strengths, interests, and career goals.
- Develop individualized employment plans and provide career guidance.
- Support resumes, applications, interviews, job readiness, and onboarding.
- Provide one-on-one and on-site job coaching.
- Build relationships with King George-area employers and identify employment opportunities.
- Help address workplace barriers through accommodations, assistive technology, and natural supports.
- Track progress and maintain accurate documentation.
What We’re Looking For
You qualify through one of the following pathways:
Required:
- A relevant work or life experience
supporting individuals with disabilities .
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
- Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.
Experience in the following is a plus:
- Vocational rehabilitation
- Employment services or job coaching
- Workforce development
- Human or disability services
- Case management
- Working with veterans or individuals with disabilities
