About this role

Accountabilities:

- Lead the Design System team technically, increasing productivity across Product teams and ensuring consistency across web and mobile experiences.

- Drive adoption of the Design System from design through implementation, working across Figma, React, and Flutter.

- Define and organize releases, maintaining a healthy cadence between Product team needs and Design System design and frontend development workflows.

- Establish clear governance for InnerSource contributions, ensuring collaboration between Product teams and the Design System follows defined design and engineering quality standards.

- Take a hands-on approach by developing components, templates, and architectural improvements alongside the team.

- Define and maintain frontend patterns in partnership with designers and frontend engineers, ensuring consistent, high-quality implementations.

- Create and maintain documentation that enables Product teams to independently adopt, use, and contribute to the Design System.

- Act as a technical reference for frontend development, serving as a key point of contact with other areas and identifying new needs and opportunities with Product teams.

Requirements:

- Experience in software engineering, frontend development, and Design Systems.

- Practical experience with design tokens and themes to maintain consistent user interfaces.

- Proven experience building and maintaining shared component libraries, templates, and scalable Design Systems.

- Strong proficiency in React and Flutter, with a solid understanding of the surrounding ecosystems.

- Proficiency with Storybook for React and Widgetbook for Flutter for component development, documentation, and testing.

- Strong knowledge of web and mobile platform standards, including accessibility best practices.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with teams from different backgrounds and contexts.
