Role Overview

The Financial Accountant plays a key role in supporting core accounting functions, focusing on month-end closing, reconciliations, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Month-end close processing and reporting to HO
- Balance sheet reconciliations and resolving of variances
- Preparation of monthly management packs and present to finance manager for review
- Support to finance manager on financial reporting
- Petty cash handling
- Bank payments loading
- Assist with cashflow planning and working capital monitoring
- Inter-company reconciliations and resolving of variances
- Provide assistance and guidance to team members on accounting principles, IFRS reporting
- Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory requirements
- Liaise with auditors and provide support during annual audits
- Support any ad-hoc tasks related to the position and department

Role Requirements

- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a finance / accounting role
- Experience in logistics industry will be advantageous
- Strong understanding of accounting and reporting principles
- Proficient in MS365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
- Strong analytical skills to identify financial trends
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse local and international team
- Positive attitude, proactive mindset, willingness to learn, adapt and grow with the company
