About this role

Accountabilities

- Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage when required.

- Prepare accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility, collect payments, and establish appropriate payment arrangements.

- Coordinate with utilization management teams to resolve pre-authorization issues and ensure patients receive necessary logistical and service information.

- Contact insurance providers to verify patient eligibility and benefits and obtain required pre-authorizations within established timelines.

- Register patients for healthcare services accurately, ensuring complete information and minimizing duplicate medical records.

- Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, insurance representatives, and internal teams to address questions and resolve issues.

- Manage multiple administrative and patient access tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and service quality.

- Use computer systems, Microsoft applications, databases, and standard office equipment to complete daily responsibilities.

- Organize work systematically and adapt to changing priorities in a remote healthcare environment.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.

- At least 1 year of customer service experience is preferred.

- Previous healthcare experience is preferred, particularly in patient access or healthcare administration.

- Revenue cycle experience is preferred.

- Strong understanding of Microsoft applications and familiarity with database systems.

- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and patient-centered approach.

- Demonstrated maturity and sound judgment when interacting with patients, physicians, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders.

- Ability to operate standard office technology, including computers, fax machines, printers, and scanners.

- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification is preferred.

- Ability to work remotely on a full-time day schedule from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

- Candidates should be prepared to meet applicable background screening requirements, including Florida Level 2 screening and fingerprinting where required.
