The FSR II w i ll rep o rt dir e ctly to the FSS. Advanced know l edge of metho d s and experi e nce in the mainten a nce of all So l ar prod u ct li n es is a m ust.
Principal Accountabilities
• Understands and complies with Solar and c u stomer HSSE policies and procedures. Ensure the work p e rmit system is compl i ed wit h . Ens u re safe site and practices. Part i c i p ates by attending g e n eral safety and toolbox sa f ety meetings and complet i ng all re q uir e d safety
training i n cl u ding CLMS training. Also su g g e s ts safety improve m ents.
• Ens u re cust o mer exp e ctat i ons a re met o r exce e ded. Ens u re all m a intena n ce a c t ivities are carri e d out in accorda n ce with Solar E n gine e ring sp e c ificati o ns, r e com m en d ati o ns a n d b e st pr a c ti c e s.
• Must have b a sic kn o wl e d g e of methods and exp e rie n ce in the ma i ntena n ce of vario u s equip m ent ass o ciated with prim a ry and u tility equipment.
• Must be ab l e to pro a ctively rec o gn i ze e l ectr i c al/m e c h anical abn o rmalities a n d potential saf e ty prob l e m s at and take ap p ropriate a c tion to prevent a ser i o u s safe t y hazard from developing
and ca u s ing dama g e to e q uipment. Pr ov ide daily re p orts to the re l evant mana g er on p roj e c ts
or daily w o rk. Keep abre a st of pending work a n d p e rso n nel r e quired to comp l ete the proj e c ts. Ens u re that n ec e ssary p a r t s are avai l ab l e and s ubmit materia l s r eq uisitio n s wh e n requ i r e d.
• Acc u rately r e port and u p d ate all equi p ment h i st o ri e s to effectively forec a st e q uipment utilization and efficiency. Coord i nate any c hanges necessary to e n sure operations are efficient and minimal d o w n time is re q uired. E n s u re e f fective com m unication a n d rep o rting to
immediate s u pervis i on a n d if applicab l e, c u stom e r re p resentatives.
• Utilize so u nd judgm e nt w h en anal y z ing prob l e m s. Solve prob l e m s with little or no su p ervis i on in a timely and c o st effective m ann e r. Will be aware of p roced u r e s a n d optio n s for identifying sourc e s of i n formation a nd techn i cal ad v ice. Will ha v e suffici e nt prod u ct kn o wl e dge to repa i r and a djust min o r m ec h an i cal/el e c tr i c al c o mp o nents / syste m s and will be ca p able of r e ading a pplic a ble dr a wi n gs and techn i cal manua l s. Work i n dividual l y or with assigned F S R’s on the p r eventive/corrective maintenance. Will be required to assist in a techn i cal m a nner with the operatio n s a n d mai n ten a nce cr e w in any area if the work l oad exce e ds the numb e r of p e rs o nnel avai l able.
• Monitor ma i ntena n ce serv i c e s or i n stall a tion su p port to ensure they are c a rried o ut within Solar Engi ne ering sp e c ifications, r e c om mendati o ns a nd in a safe mann e r in ac corda n ce with the HSSE policies and procedures.
• Utilize the Work F orce M a nage m ent Proc es s and system to man a ge w o rk o r d ers. This incl u d e s per f ormi n g pr e= work by review i ng and u pdat i ng site safety information, manag i ng employee in f ormation, and avai l ability. The W F M application w ill also be used to record and rep o rt time, mana g e sof t ware and d r a wing ch a ng e s, generate d a i ly repor t s , re v iew h a r d ship data, and m a nage the t a sk library.
Qualifications
The incumbent will have served a rec o gnized appren t iceship or equivalent per io d of training. Will poss e ss a technical qualification e.g. D e gree, HNC/ HND, O NC, C&G, Aviation Engine e r ’ s
license, Mar i ne Engineers Certificate and will have 3–5 years experience in a related industry. Hig h er exp e r i ence/skill levels may bal a nce l o w e r academ i c qualif i c atio n s , and vice versa.
Experience in an overseas/offsho r e environment is essential, also familiarity with rotating
equip m ent a n d PLC s y st e ms. This ex p erie n ce m ay be either M echan i cal or I n strument/ Electrical and the FSR II will be cap a ble of a cr o ss-discipl i ned a ppr o ach to the job. The FSR II will be familiar with Gas T urb i ne theory a n d o p eratio n al practice inc l uding control syst e m logic, driv e n equip m ent a n d pr o c e s ses both u p stre a m and d o w n stream. The F SR II will have the ability to pro g ram a nd bas i c tro u bl e s h o oting on P LC s y ste m s. Wh e re regi on ally requ i red, the FSR II will hold a n d ma i ntain an offs h ore m e dical a nd s u rvival c e rtificate and/ o r other traini n g/certif i catio n s
as n e ed e d.
