About this role

Job Title: Project/Construction Manager - Data Centers Job Description We are seeking a traveling Project/Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate the installation phases of data center projects. This role involves ensuring the technical success of projects while working directly with general and subcontractors as well as the internal project team. The successful candidate will report to the lead Project Manager and work transparently to address installation issues promptly, ensuring deadlines and scope expectations are met and exceeded. Responsibilities

- Manage the Low Voltage subcontractor's scope and schedule for data center project installations.
- Ensure the installation portion of the project is delivered on time and under budget, as defined by the Lead Project Manager.
- Facilitate communication between clients and subcontractors by collaborating closely with the Lead Project Manager.
- Work with the Project Manager to develop project labor resource plans and quality control plans to meet schedule objectives and budget requirements.
- Maintain firm control of scope and compliance with FRS and contract requirements. Ensure subcontractor scope is well defined and communicated, and proactively manage change orders and additional scope opportunities.
- Develop and maintain project cost budgets and reports, manage estimated costs at completion, earned value, and contingency. Forecast monthly project costs to avoid overruns.
- Collaborate with the project team to achieve tasks and milestones on schedule and under budget. Coordinate with the Operations group to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Communicate project progress to the team and clients, advocating effectively for the project team. Identify project risks in advance and mobilize necessary resources to mitigate these risks.

Essential Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent educational experience in project and/or construction management.
- Experience utilizing project and construction management principles, methods, and tools.
- Experience scheduling and managing electrical contractors and subcontractors.
- Experience in industrial controls for data centers, building management, consumer products, automotive, food & beverage, process industries, energy management, or similar fields.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with low voltage installation or conduit and cable.
- Experience using project management software such as MS Project.
- Experience managing control system, HMI, plant data historian, and other industrial projects.
- Experience with MES/MOM solution implementation.

Work Environment This role initially supports a project located in Dallas, TX, expected to last about a year, after which travel or relocation to subsequent job sites is anticipated. The majority of project sites will involve new data center buildings.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $76.92/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
