Civil Engineer

Job Title: Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to work under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). The successful candidate will assist in the soils laboratory, review boring logs, and participate in fieldwork, including materials testing, soil sampling, foundation observation, and overall geotechnical engineering. Responsibilities

- Assist in the soils laboratory with various testing procedures.
- Review and analyze boring logs.
- Conduct fieldwork, including materials testing, soil sampling, and foundation observation under supervision.

Essential Skills

- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering and design

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in consulting is preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred

Work Environment The role involves working on-site at various projects throughout Kentucky. The work will typically involve day travel, with transportation provided by the company. The candidate will initially report to the Shelbyville office each morning and travel with others in a company truck, with the potential to drive the company truck independently in the future. Equipment will be provided as necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
