About this role
The Infrastructure & IT Services Department, part of the Digitalization & Information Division within COO, is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, resilience and quality of the Bank’s ICT production services. Its scope covers IT infrastructure and data center operations, application support, service management, service desk activities, user administration, and ICT support for the Head Office and branch network. The department also supports business continuity, disaster recovery, technology lifecycle management, infrastructure security and the implementation of IT changes, in line with local business needs and Group strategy.
As Head of Infrastructure & IT Services , you will lead the Bank’s ICT production services, ensuring service availability, performance, resilience and quality, in line with local business needs and Group strategy.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Define and implement the Infrastructure & IT Services strategy, with a strong focus on operational resilience, risk reduction and alignment with the Bank’s objectives.
- Oversee ICT infrastructure operations, data center services, application support, service management, service desk and ICT support for the Head Office and branch network.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manage budgets, capacity planning and technology roadmaps.
- Coordinate Disaster Recovery plans and testing in support of the Bank’s Business Continuity strategy.
- Ensure end-to-end incident and problem management, including root cause analysis, corrective actions and communication with management and key stakeholders.
- Lead the Change Advisory Board and govern production changes.
- Ensure the effective administration, monitoring and support of critical banking applications and infrastructure.
- Oversee infrastructure architecture, lifecycle and obsolescence management, security solutions, network communications, servers, databases, middleware, storage, virtualization, backup and OpenShift operations.
- Drive the standardization and automation of infrastructure processes to improve resilience and optimize capacity.
- Manage technology vendors and ensure that services are delivered in line with contractual commitments and agreed service levels.
- Support regulatory initiatives and provide relevant information and reporting to Audit, Risk, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.
- Lead and develop the Infrastructure & IT Services teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, professional development and a proactive approach to incident prevention.
- Work closely with business functions, Group ICT structures and other UniCredit Group companies.
- A completed university degree in IT or a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Economics, combined with relevant IT experience. A Master’s degree would be an advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT management, with solid expertise in application and infrastructure administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of IT processes and frameworks, including ITIL, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, monitoring and vendor management.
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices and cybersecurity concepts.
- Intermediate or higher IT project management capabilities.
- ITIL v4, PMP or PRINCE2 certification would be considered an advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Solid interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
- Proven ability to lead teams and operate effectively in a business-critical environment.
- Strong strategic management and project delivery capabilities, supported by relevant professional achievements.
- Very good understanding of the local and international banking ICT environment.
- Advanced English proficiency.
