Job Summary
The Corporate Art Curator works with the organization's full-service and select-service hotel assets to maximize the value of the company's investments through curated arts programming and events.
What You'll Do
Including but not limited to:
- Plan and implement the Visual, Performance, and Culinary Arts Program for Prime Hospitality Group Hotels, Florida, with all events conceived as income-generating
- Own all aspects of each event including concept, budget, promotional materials, entertainment, food and beverage, and guest lists and RSVPs
- Create reliable financial reports
- Establish and maintain strong relationships and communication with each hotel's management and food and beverage team
- Coordinate and promote art exhibitions with support from the Senior Art Curator
- Serve as the primary contact for negotiating and implementing loan agreements with artists or their representatives
- Compile artist and gallery materials, including bios, headshots, and high-definition artwork images
- Coordinate installation and de-installation of art exhibitions, including delivery, pick-up, placement, and signage
- Coordinate with the Marketing Division on exhibition materials, including gallery cards, postcards, brochures, signage, and digital presence
- Organize and attend art exhibition opening receptions
- Respond to inquiries from artists, galleries, and art organizations, and route information to the Senior Curator and Art Ovation Hotel's Cultural Curator
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university
- 4-6 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hotel industry training
- Management and training experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and various hospitality platforms
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel regularly to properties within the region
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
