The Linen Seamstress is part of a team responsible for linen production flow activities under the direction of the Linen Department Supervisor and/or the Internal Operations Assistant Director.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Following the best practices for safety
- Prepare finished products ready to be entered into inventory
- Implement best use of raw materials to reach end goal
- Read daily reports and daily reviews of incoming work needs
- Have the ability to identify different fabrics and patterns
- Maintains up to date inventory counts of necessary supplies
- Creates and maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Maintain sewing equipment in working order
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications Include:
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Must have a positive attitude
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends
- Must be familiar with all aspects of sewing and sewing machine use
- At least two years seamstress experience
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lb
- Must be at least 18 years of age
