Job Description
This position is in our Emergency room in Brownstown, which is a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and communication are imperative in this role.
This position requires every other weekend and rotating Holidays.
The shift for this position is 7p-330a, can included midnight (1030p-7a) coverage if needed,
This is a part time position and you will work around 20 hours per week.
Role Overview
As a Patient Registration Rep, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections, while advocating for patient needs. Your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth access to healthcare services.

What You Will Do
- Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in and preregistration.
- Confirm insurance eligibility and handle cash collections.
- Update patient registration and insurance information.
- Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf.
- Provide efficient and effective customer relationship management, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.
- EPIC training/experience and ICD-10 medical terminology experience.
