What You'll Do

As a Design Engineer, you'll be involved in the planning, design, and execution of natural gas distribution projects from concept through construction. Responsibilities include:

- Design and route natural gas distribution mains and related infrastructure
- Develop engineering drawings using AutoCAD and GIS software
- Assist with material specifications, testing, and engineering calculations
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, construction, and other project stakeholders
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure drawing accuracy and database integrity
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and project milestones
- Participate in occasional field visits and site inspections to support project execution

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Degree from an ABET-accredited university
- Internship experience or up to 2 years of engineering experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership through internships, student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, senior design projects, or other extracurricular involvement

This is a Permanent position based out of Naperville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
