Job Summary

The Sr. Principal Value Management main focus is the establishment and implementation of best practices of Portfolio Operations, Strategic Investment and Funding and Governance best practices for the Digital Technology organization. This role coaches VMO stakeholders, leadership across business and technology on LPM and identifies now to leverage key principles of LPM to solve real problems facing delivery teams, business teams, or their processes. Operates as a subject matter expert sought by the Enterprise to tackle complex initiatives.

Essential Functions

• Identify key Portfolio level business and engineering OKRs

• Initiate and progress LPM practices in DT portfolio leveraging experience and proven practices.

• Support Sr Dir LPM in strategic management of Value Management demand and roadmap

• Partner with DPM team for Portfolio Roadmap and EPIC OKR adoption and monthly value dashboard for value streams

• Implement Portfolio KANBAN ideation to implementation for Portfolio level demand

• Aid in identifying VMO team and train best practices across the DT Portfolios

• Serve as process engineer in influencing AMTRAK to an LPM lean governance approach that aligns with regulatory acceptance in an Enterprise experience business agility.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience or relevant work experience.

• 9 years’ experience implementing lean practices/Lean Portfolio Management

• SAFE 6.0 LPM Certified

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience o4 relevant work experience.

• 11 years of relevant work experience.

• SAFE 6.0 Program Consultant

• EBAS Certified

• Agility Health Radar experience

• MBA preferred

Environmental Conditions/Physical Demands

The salary/hourly range is $149,400.00 – $193,644.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
