JOB SUMMARY:

U.S. Multimodal is seeking a hands-on and experienced USMMG is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Coordinator to support the financial operations of the organization. This role will be responsible for incoming invoices, entering them into the Company’s accounting system and ensuring timely payment processing.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Processes vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

- Process payments in a timely and accurate manner.

- Reconciles and maintains various accounts and ledgers to include accounts payable, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, ledgers, statements, billings, and/or other accounting documents.

- Assists with local tax compliances and state registrations.

- Assists the accounting department in daily activities.

- Assists with preparation for annual audits and local compliance.

- Communicates with customers and vendors.

- Manages payment and balance sheet schedules.

- Maintains accurate financial records and communicates invoice discrepancies to appropriate parties and tracks outstanding items.

- Generates financial reports for the Controller, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree is required.

- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and reports

- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

- Capable of analyzing problems and creating solutions with minimal guidance

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

- Regular, predictable attendance is required

- Must comply with organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements

- Primarily sedentary work performed in a temperature-controlled office setting

- Must be able to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment for approximately 8 hours a day.
