About this role

Summary

In alignment with Gift of Life Michigan’s core purpose and core values, the Packaging Coordinator prepares, inventories, and ships a variety of material for educational programs, marketing events, and outreach to Gift of Life partners.

Duties & Responsibilities

The following job duties and responsibilities are stated in broad terms and not intended to be inclusive.  Those in bold are essential duties of the position:

- Prepare and process organization wide merchandise orders.

- Ensure that all outgoing shipments of orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

- Assemble and stock various educational and promotional packets.

- Assist in merchandise ordering and campaign planning in coordination with the Marketing Department

- Enter data into computer database, such as the volunteer database forms and the inventory system, ensuring that all data entry is accurate and complete.

- Prepare merchandise inventory reports.

- Maintain Merchandise Ordering System (MOS).

- Implement logistics techniques to improve merchandising systems and processes.

- Clean and organize the merchandise and materials storage areas.

- Assist in tracking supplies and other tasks, as assigned.

- Assist other departments with projects, as needed.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Required

- High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

- Prior experience in a healthcare organization, transplant center, or organ/tissue procurement organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

- Written and verbal fluency in English.

- Ability to exercise initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Teams and other technology systems used in business operations.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.

- Demonstrate attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently on daily activities.

- Use standard office equipment.

- Ability to manage task or project assignments and meet deadlines.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
