Currently, we are seeking an ILS/On-Site Lead (OR).

This position supports the U.S. Army Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN) Global Field Service Representative (FSR) Support Services program. The program provides FSR support of communications for the Government primarily for operability and sustainment of the Tactical and Strategic antenna system such as the Deployable Ku Earth Terminal (DKET), Mobile DKET, Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR)/Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) Access Point (SNAP), United States Marine Corps (USMC) Support Wide Area Network (SWAN) and Commercialization efforts, Micro Very Small Aperture Terminal (mVSAT), VSAT, Inflatable Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Terminal (ISA) CJNCC NETOPS Multinational Information Sharing (MNIS) Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Coalition Partner Network-X (CPN-X); and Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF)-OIR AO-wide Network, but are not limited to only these terminals and support.

The ILS/On-Site Lead OR performs a wide range of activities associated with day-to-day operations and maintenance support for various SATCOM equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

- Candidate must be prepared to live and work in Germany. Candidate is required to obtain a German work permit and perform job duties, for the duration of the contract, under German Ordinary Resident (OR) status.

- Must be willing and able to work 40 hours per week.

- Perform duties, functions, responsibilities as on-site team leader. Lead by example.

- Lead, monitor, and supervise employees to achieve the Governments mission objectives and goals. Coordinate, delegate, and communicate work tasks and related information with team members.

- Provide guidance, instruction, and training to new team members.

- Troubleshoot various tactical SATCOM terminals and complex inter-networking environments.

- Perform IP addressing and variable length sub-net masking techniques.

- Provide communication and non-communications functions in support of DoD Gateway Systems, earth terminals, and associated shelters.

- Support operations, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, monitoring, reporting, and operational and preventive maintenance.

- Provide services including real time transmission systems configuration control, circuit restoration, circuit activation, circuit deactivation, quality control and performance standards, status reporting, master station log, and other actions required by policies, responsibilities, and operational procedures.

- Participate in regular staff meetings and daily team briefings. Prepare reports as required.

- Serve as liaison between the team, management, and Government POCs.

- Abide by all corporate, Government, and local labor laws and regulations.

- Apply performance standards and quality control standards as directed by the Standard Operating Procedures of the company and the Government.

- Ensure compliance with safety rules, regulations, and standards.

- US DOD Top Secret Clearance. Must maintain clearance throughout employment.

- A valid current US Passport

- Complete/pass initial and annual theater-specific medical, dental, and psychological fitness for duty evaluation for designated area of operation.

Additional Requirements:

- Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering.

- In lieu of Bachelors degree, must possess an Associates degree and seven (7) years of recent related specialized experience.

- In lieu of Associates degree, eleven (11) years of recent related specialized experience.

- Minimum two (2) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications electronic systems and equipment.

- Minimum two (2) years of experience operating in a tactical environment, operating/maintaining antenna controllers, SSPA, LNA/LNB, Up and Down converters, Fiber Optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) modems (satellite modems).

- Training, knowledge, skill, and experience with commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures and commercial TDMA/DAMA modems required.

- Must understand Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and its suite of protocols.

- Cisco router configuration and operations experience (or equivalent) required.

- Knowledge and experience with Baseband and Radio Frequency technologies required.

- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to motivate and coach a work team. Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

- Effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to work harmoniously with others.

- Ability to take proactive steps in managing challenges and problems.

- Proficiency with relevant computer systems and applications.
