About this role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Radiology Director to lead the daily operations of our hospital’s imaging department. This position combines hands-on patient care with departmental leadership in a Critical Access Hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct the daily operations of the Radiology Department.

- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as needed.

- Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate radiology staff.

- Ensure imaging services are provided safely, accurately, and efficiently.

- Maintain compliance with CMS, state, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

- Oversee radiation-safety practices and required quality-control activities.

- Maintain department policies, procedures, equipment records, and personnel competency documentation.

- Coordinate equipment maintenance, inspections, and service.

- Monitor departmental supplies, expenses, productivity, and staffing.

- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and outside radiology-reading services.

- Participate in hospital quality-improvement, emergency-preparedness, and leadership activities.

- Assist with departmental budgeting and planning.

- Provide excellent care and service to patients, families, and hospital staff.

- Participate in the department’s on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

- Current Oklahoma license or other authorization required to practice.

- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.

- CT certification or CT experience strongly preferred.

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

- Experience in a hospital or Critical Access Hospital setting preferred.

- Knowledge of radiology operations, radiation safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

- Ability to perform imaging procedures and assist with patient transfers and positioning.
